Cambridge Fireworks Night gets more spectacular by the year and Cambridge City Council have provided this free event for over 20 years. The largest fireworks display in the region is watched by over 25,000 people each year. Most people head to Midsummer Common where there’s a bonfire, fareground and foodstalls. However it can get very busy and it’s a nightmare to park! It has a lovely atmosphere though feels like one of the rare occasions the whole city comes together to celebrate.
Castle Hill is a secret alternative, with unrivalled views across Cambridge. It’s much less busy, although try to get there 30mins before for a good spot on the hill.
Another alternative is to book a table at one of Cambridge’s rooftop bars, such as The Varsity, and enjoy watching the fireworks with a cocktail in hand!
Display at 7pm, Monday 5th November 2018
