East End Born&Bred, Pat ‘Pop’ Newland has been cooking London’s best fish and chips since 1952. 50 years later Pop set up his own shop in Brick Lane, channeling a 1950’s feel. It has now become a London-wide brand, with chippies in Camden, Spitalfields and Soho. Poppies is all about sustainably sourced, quality fish, filleted by their own in-house fishmonger and either grilled or fried to perfection, depending on how you like it. Takeaway orders are wrapped in newspaper, a nostalgic call-back to the golden age of fish&chip shops.
