The walking element of the tour takes us not only into the scenic landscape of Christ Church Meadows, but also inside the colleges themselves and the Bodleian Library. Meanwhile, the Bike Tour gives you an exhilarating ride around this ancient city and its gorgeous nearby green spaces. We’ll visit some of Oxford’s oldest parts, and also touch on the quirkier side of the University’s history.
With 38 colleges, faculty buildings and libraries spread all around Oxford City, and no central defined space being “Oxford University”, this tour aims to tackle this problem with both walking and bike options allowing us to take both a granular and a broad approach to exploring Oxford. From the dramatic modern architecture of the Blavatnik Centre (not covered by any other tour company in Oxford), or the more typical and medieval façade of Magdalen College, home of Oscar Wilde and C.S Lewis with its imposing grotesques; this tour has it all.
From one of the oldest Colleges at Oxford, to seeing a Harry Potter film site, this tour covers everything you could want from your visit.
