Applies to bookings during (and inclusive of):
8th March / 12th March / 18th March / 25th-31st March / 1st April
For the first time in two years, we are starting to go back inside the University. Hurrah! However, you have booked on a day when Divinity School (part of the Bodleian Library, and a Harry Potter film) site will be closed to the public and all tour groups.
This happens periodically, mainly due to weddings and degree ceremonies – even before the days of COVID-19, and is just very much part of visiting Oxford. We will still be aiming to provide more access than at any point in the last two years to go inside the university. Crucially, we are currently set to still go inside one of the oldest Colleges at Oxford University on the day! If any parts of the Bodleian are available to visitors on the day (as things can change) we will, of course, include this.
We are the only company in Oxford who inform visitors in advance, and the only to offer a refund for a closure. We have no interest in someone taking a tour with us who does not want it; we are in the business of surpassing expectations, not falling short of them. Please provide us with 24 hours notice (or within 1 hour of booking, should that not be physically possible) if you would like this.
This is still a fantastic tour; you are still visiting at one of the best times in two years and you can trust us to make the best of the current situation – with authentic guides to bring out all the energy and drama at Oxford University. The fact that we are the only organisation informing their customers in advance should underline that the customer experience remains at the forefront of all our experiences we provide; and you can be assured of a truly memorable tour of the highest quality, despite this change!
