Ultimate Guide to Bath Abbey
Bath Abbey is one of the most beautiful landmarks in the whole of Bath. To help you with your trip, we’ve put together the ultimate guide to Bath Abbey! Enjoy.
Bath Abbey was founded way way back in the 7th century, and rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries. It is one of the most stunning examples of gothic architecture in the country – a grade 1 listed building, particularly noted for its fan vaulting. The abbey contains some fascinating war memorials for the local population and monuments to several notable people. Look out for the unusual two organs inside as well as the west front, which includes sculptures of angels climbing to heaven on two stone ladders.
