Ultimate Guide to The Circus
The Circus is one of the most recognisable landmarks in the whole of Bath. To help you with your trip, we’ve put together the ultimate guide to The Circus! Enjoy.
Gorgeous Architecture
The Circus is one of the most iconic landmarks in the whole of Bath. It consists if three curved segments of Grade 1 listed townhouses, each one a masterpiece of Georgian architecture. When viewed from the air, the Circus forms a key shape along with Queen Square and Gay street. This is a masonic symbol which is typical of the architecture of the time. The buildings were constructed in 1754 and completed in 1768. We recommend combining a visit to the circus with a trip to the nearby Green Bird Cafe, which serves excellent brunches. Cheers!
