Ultimate Guide to the best pub in Bath
Before you even get to the decision of what to drink, arguably just as important – where to drink it! Bath, true to form, has some excellent options. Here is a collection of the pubs we enjoy:
Fantastic Pub
First on our list of the best restaurants for groups in Bath is the Bath Brew House House. The pub takes its name from the fact that it brews its own beers in the tank room upstairs, which the public can go and see albeit behind protective glass! The food is great to, serving a mixture of classic and contemporary pub fare. There’s plenty of room, but it’s still worth booking ahead if possible for larger groups.

Classic Pub
Top of our list of the best pubs in Bath is the Raven. Possibly Bath’s most famous pubs, the Raven serves a pleasing array of beer, stouts and wines in a gloriously beautiful setting right in the city centre. Best of all though, the Raven is also famous for its incredible pies. Well worth a visit on your trip to Bath! Cheers.

Historic Pub
Next on our list of the best pubs in Bath is the historic Star Inn. You won’t find any games machines, music, pool table, or cordon bleu food menu, but The Star Inn still shines on in Bath. Described by The Campaign of Real Ale as a ‘rare and unspoiled pub interior of outstanding historic interest’, The Star Inn is listed on the National Inventory of Heritage Pubs.
The pub, first licensed in 1759, is the brewery tap of Bath’s only brewery, Abbey Ales. See you in there!

INcredible Views
Next on our list of the best pubs in Bath is a slightly more upmarket option. Travel about 10 minutes outside of Bath and you’ll end up in the gorgeous Somerset countryside, setting of the renowned Hare and Hounds. Hare and Hounds serves incredible food – from fantastic sunday lunches to glorious seasonal produce – with an elegance and flare not too often found in pubs. It isn’t cheap, but the views from the terrace are more than worth it.
