The Cambridge Leisure Park is on the corner of Cherry Hinton Road and Hills Road. Anybody who has been to Hills Road Sixth Form will have fond memories of sitting on the grass outside! The park hosts a Tenpin bowling alley, The Light Cinema, Junction Theatre, Travelodge, Nando’s, Five Guys, Bella Italia, Frankies and Bennies, Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s and Puregym. Always a fun trip on a rainy day!
The Junction Theatre is one of the main concert venues in Cambridge and hosts anything from theatre shows to club nights, live gigs and touring bands. It’s worth checking out their website if you’re looking for something to do in the evening.
The once-grotty cinema has now been update to a state-of-the-art Light Cinema, with an Imax Screen, cafe and bar. You can bring alcohol into the theatre with you and there’s even some plush armchairs and a piano.
As you’re leaving the cinema or restaurants, you can stamp your parking ticket for discounted parking prices. The park gets particularly busy on Saturdays so make sure you plan ahead!
