Established in 1855, The ADC Theatre is the oldest university theatre in the country. It is exclusively run by the students of Cambridge University and hosts university shows from comedy Nights to musicals and Shakespeare. It plays a vital role in training students to be the next generation of theatre practitioners and has produced a whole raft of esteemed alumni.
There are several student companies resident in the ADC Theatre including: Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club, Footlights, Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society and the Fletcher Players. Not always the best quality shows but certainly the cheapest and most lively and its always good to support student theatre. There’s also a cracking student bar, selling very cheap pints. You might even see some of our Footprints guides on stage!
