If you’ve ever seen one of these strange yellow vehicles driving around Central London, you might be a little perplexed. The duck tour allows tourists the unique opportunity to drive around London, and take a boat ride down the River Thames, in the same vehicle! Make sure you wrap up warm; the river Thames can be a bit nippy! We’d advise wearing a waterproof to protect you from the spray off The River Thames.
The London Duck Buses were originally designed to ferry soldiers from boats onto beaches, and were first used in the allied invasions of The Pacific, Sicily and on D-Day, in WW2. Nowadays they ferry dazed tourists from road to river. Quacking good fun!
